Friday, March 5th, 2010Freebord Team 2010
Thursday, January 14th, 2010Thank you to everyone who submitted for this year’s Freebord Pro Team. You guys are continuing to progress and push the envelope – we were amazed by the level of riding coming in from everywhere.
These nine riders stood out above the rest – congratulations to the 2010 Freebord Pro Team:
- Arnaud Debluze (France)
- Jonathan Ehm (France)
- Nico Gaillard (France)
- Mike Hoppe (USA)
- Roberto Lopez (Spain)
- Corey Lucero (USA)
- Justin Oliver (USA)
- Sam Trowbridge (Australia)
- Richie Verost (USA)
This year we’ve committed to put more resources into the team, including more filming sessions, events and exposure to the Freebord community. Arnaud Blin in Europe and Stevie-B in the US will tag team on managing all our global riders and making sure they’re involved as much as possible. Get in touch with them at team@freebord.com.
Team Sub Reminder
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009Due December 31st!
Freebord is now accepting submissions for the 2010 Pro Team. If you would like to be considered, you have until December 31, 2009 to submit.
Here’s how it works:
- Put together a 2 minute edited highlight reel that shows us what you got (make sure you highlight all aspects of your riding). We want your best raw riding clips sequenced together into a 2 minute max video. You can use clips we have already seen from this year or new footage.
- We will be looking 100% at the quality of your riding, not your editing – so your video should showcase your best riding clips. Period. This is not a concept video. You can add music if you want or keep the audio raw – your call – but no effects otherwise.
- For reference, check out this year’s FRA rookie/rider nomination video. This is a little more polished than what we want from you, but the segments are in line with what we’re looking for.
- Upload your video to any video hosting site (Vimeo, Youtube, Dailymotion….) and email the link to team@freebord.com.
- We will only accept one video per rider.
- All videos are due by December 31, 2009. No late submissions will be considered.
We will announce the 2010 team sometime in January. If we select you to the team, your team submission video will be the first video that we use for your team section on our website.
This year we’ll be putting more resources into our European team riders and bringing on Arnaud Blin as our European Team Manager. We’ll still have the one Global team, just with Arnaud as a local contact for those guys across the pond. He’ll be working closely together with Freebord USA to involve all the team members in video production, events, tours, contests, etc.
Good luck and let us know if you have any questions…

Scrub Tips Vol. 1
Wednesday, April 29th, 2009Team Kyte Channels
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009We’re trying a new thing with the team this year and letting them run their own media channels. If you haven’t noticed yet, each team member has their own page here on the Freebord News blog, with their profile info and Kyte player embedded.
Kyte is a media channel where the team members will be posting all their latest vids and pics – and each channel gets automatically updated whenever they add something new. Browse past uploads under ’shows’, and use the chat function to leave comments. It’s no HD, but beats trolling around the internets just to stalk your favorite rider.
J.O. already pimped his channel with a custom banner and branding – check out his newest vid, Bad Mutha here:
