“Marcel & son Freeroute” is one of the few freerides steep enough to be very fun freebording on. February 6th, the DDE69 (crew of freeborders and longboarders from Lyon) is organizing the 11th edition of this event ! Time to (re)watch the old video we made for the first edition in 2006.
The B.M.F. aka Brazilian Mafia Freebord rounded out the first ever Brazil Represent Tour last week with Daniel S., Cristiano, Erik, Daniel C., Rafael, Murillo and Luis hitting the road. Looked like a good time – check out the vid below courtesy of Cristiano Lemke.
The World Freebord Day in Grenoble (France) was all about big mountain riding and partying.
We rode the famous hill L’Alpe d’Huez (21 hairpins), Auris en oisan (5Km long, 15% slope) and the “Travers des 2 Alpes”, one of the sickest spot around.
The party was raging, premiere of CHoE italia video and Flatspot, beers and rhum, lot of people !
The last stop of the Europe Represent Tour was in Lausanne (switzerland). The session was very good with more than 25 riders who came. We rode the Vallée de la Jeunesse, Lausane city, Montreux, and La dole. Switzerland has so many good hills everywhere.
After the ride, we camped in La Dole and had a nice party.
You can see the 5 videos of the Europe Represent Tour 2009 here (Grenoble, Paris, Stuttgart, Marseille and Lausanne).
Marseille (south of France) was well represented by more than 30 riders. We started riding in the crowded historic center, than moved to different spots around the city. We ended the session partying on the beach. Check the french forum if you want to see some pictures.
Washington took the cake this year! Tons of sick hills, tons of sick riders, and unfortunately tons of cops. After getting told to, “Get in your van and leave Mukilteo”, by the police there we decided to take some of the locals advice and hit up Belevue. The hill there was by far best, such a bomber! After killin’ the steeps we went in to downtown Seattle. Downtown was really nice as well, tons of freestyle spots with no skate-stops! Jeremy, one of the guys that showed up to the ride, had us roll to his work out that way. Kushibar was quite kush! Bomb grub+free drinks+3 girls birthday’s made for a great time! Big thanks to Taylor, Mike, Lilly, Sara, Jeremy, and Mary Norman for the hospitality and great memories!
Brian from Freebord Germany hosted The Pfingstevent at his ranch in Stuttgart back at the beginning of the summer. These guys got killer roads, farmers on tractors towing them up the hill, beer, porta potties, you name it…. 80 riders from Germany, Switzerland and Austria showed up with some serious steez.
Thanks to Brian for putting this together and thanks to Mäx for the vid. Check it.
