Mondial du snowboard

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

Jonathan Ehm, Cyril Calgaro, Arnaud Debluze, Rems and 10ish other freeborders were at the Mondial du Snowboard in Les 2 Alpes, for freebording in the resort to spread the word. It snowed 50cm (20 inches), so they had a great time shreding the snowpark, and testing all the ‘09 snowboard on the slopes.

Switzerland Represent

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Special guest post today from Swiss rider Dominic aka Gwenvael:

25 riders from Switzerland, Austria and Germany recently rolled out to the first Represent Switzerland ride. Located in the heart of the Swiss alps, on the top of 11km of Swiss cheddahhh, the group had a hella sick weekend. After the first run the cops showed up and forbade us to ride on that road, but as usual we ended up doing it anyway. Thanks to everyone who showed up and didn’t mind driving for 7h to get there, props to Denis for recovering so fast from his concussion and special thanks to fellow German rider Robert who hooked us up with some super tasty meals! We wrote Swiss Freebord history!

Brooklyn NY Represent
Uploaded by justchilln00

Justin Maury & Justin Oliver recently wrapped up the Represent tour by stopping in Brooklyn to see what hills they could find. They ended up at the Williamsburg suspension bridge connecting the Lower East Side of Manhattan at Delancey Street with the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. The entire bridge is 7308 feet (2227 m) long between cable anchor terminals, and the deck is 118 feet (36 m) wide with a steep enough grade to get some very playful speed. Enjoy and thanks to everyone on the East coast who came out to Represent!

The Represent Tour rolled into Fairfield this past weekend and met up with Steve Griggs and company. On our first run down East rock mtn the rain began to fall, so we packed it up and headed to the hookah bar. Feeling relaxed from the shisha and the streets now dry, we shredded Steve’s local hills. After riding there was a “Dura Flame” campfire and a late night session on a Fairfield University parking lot in which campus security didn’t approve of. The next morning we hit up a few more hills with Steve and wrapped up a great Represent Ride in Fairfield CT, thanks for everything guys!

The Represent Tour recently cruised through Hillsborough, NJ for a fucking crazy ride hosted by Matt Montellione. Despite the sketchy weather forecast, we had a massive turn out of riders of all levels coming out to shred the great selection of hills in the area. After the ride Matt and his friends hooked it up with pizza, booze, and some very tasty brownies to snack on while we went to see the premiere of Pineapple Express at the local cinema. Thanks for the place to crash and all the hospitality you guys showed us, Hillsborough NJ you guys REPRESENT!

100Km (66 miles)

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

It all started at a party during the Team Week :

- Tomorow is the last day of the Team Week, let’s ride as much as we can !

- Do you think we can ride 100km of different hills in a day ?

- Let’s do this !!!

So… we did it. We rode all the spots around Les 2 alpes in one day, some hills are 12 miles long, some others are 20% grade and totally crazy. It took us 250Km of car (thanks jon to heal your knee driving us around) and 9 hours to ride these 100km without riding the same hill twice.

We rode many mythic hills like l’Alpe d’Huez (famous for the biking Tour de France) and at 6PM, after 75Km ridden, the heavy rain started. We really wanted to get to 100km, so we kept on ridding under the tempest, and over an inch of water…

Riders that made it to the 100km : Arnaud Blin and Arnaud Debluze. Sylvain Ched couldn’t ride anymore after 83km… Big up to Jonathan Ehm, who couldn’t ride because of a knee injury, and drove us around all day.

We’re leaving you with some pictures of this amazing day.
