The Represent tour hit up Boulder Colorado this week. 23 riders showed up to rip Baseline Rd and Lookout Mtn, some of the nicest hills we’ve seen! Thanks to Rush for the dope crash pad.
Reminder! Videos due in 1 week… if you want to be flown to SF to be a part of an awesome project, get your submissions in!
Freebord Short Film
Filming Dates: August 15-16, 2009
Where: San Francisco (where else?)
Freebord Short Film Casting Assignment:
Complete three (3) 360s in 30 seconds, coming to a complete stop, all while (a) holding a full cup of any liquid beverage, (b) wearing a helmet, and (c) riding down a sidewalk.
Please submit your video entries to videos@freebord.com by Monday, Aug 3rd for consideration in our upcoming film.
Note: we’re looking for control, maneuverability and smoothness, NOT speed. We want riders that can handle tight terrain, ride in and out of switch, and throw 180’s and 360’s with smooth control.
Note, Note: If you’re riding is good enough but you’re not one of the lucky 5 that gets a plane ticket, we’ll let you know. If that’s the case, you’re more than welcome to come if you can do so on your own nickel.
Note, Note, Note: Don’t think your riding is good enough to be caught on film? Don’t even ride a Freebord? Come and join us anyway. You can drink some beers from the sidewalk and check out the spectacle. Trust us, you’ll want to see what we got coming. Everyone is welcome to come out and watch the filming.
We had a dope shred sesh in Salt Lake City and Provo Utah! Scope the vid for proof! Big props to Braden, Quinn, and Austin for the killer time and place to crash!
We’re now accepting nominations for 2009 Rookie of the Year and Rider of the Year. Think you’re good enough, or know someone who should be considered? email videos@freebord.com with your submission by Mon, August 17th to be considered. Submissions should be raw, non-polished team-sub style, no longer than 2 minutes.
Check out last year’s nominees here:
The Represent Tour in Paris was the 14th of July. Awesome atmosphere, great ride, good BBQ… Thanks a lot to the 25 riders who came to shred with the french pros, and see you next year in Paris !
Freebord is making a professionally produced short film this summer, and we’re looking for riders to fill in the ranks. In fact, we’ve got 5 round trip plane tickets to give away to riders outside of SF who got what it takes (sorry, USA only).
3 of those tickets will be given out by pro team riders Justin Oliver, Mike Hoppe and Bob Glashan based on the talent they find on the USA Represent Tour (July 24-August 2). So if you’re in UT, CO, WA, or OR you got a leg up. Show up to a ride and show the pros what you got. If they say you make the cut, we’ll fly your ass out to SF for the shoot.

The other 2 tickets will be given out by Freebord based on a casting call video contest:
