Freebording für Furchtlose
Monday, June 29th, 2009Brian Kozul and the Stuttgart crew recently hosted German TV channel RTL2 for a piece on Freebording. Nice job showing off for the hot host… did anyone get her number?
Skateboard, wakeboard, snowboard, mountain board, Snake board, and now even the Freebord. This board with 6 wheels is currently getting a lot of hype. Especially in mountainous regions, where guys from 10 to 30 years old spend all their spare time on it.
Equipped with protective clothing, RTL II reporter Sandra Schneiders gives the board a try on the hill with the other riders. But her balance seems to be missing. After half an hour she was riding her first few meters alone, but she wasn’t feeling it quite yet. “Freebording is fun and you also lose a few calories. But I must say: it’s probably something for the more courageous group,” she said.

Ask a Rider – Bob’s phone blowing up
Thursday, June 18th, 2009In case you didn’t know, we’re running some online banner ads – giving people a real phone number to call and ask a rider about Freebord. Team member Bob Glashan has been lucky enough to be on the receiving end of those calls (many of which come through in the middle of the night, when Bob is at his best).
He’s been talking to lots of different people but when he can’t make it to the phone he’s gotten some hilarious messages – some of which we’ve recorded for your amusement below. From admiring 8 year olds to on the edge meth heads, apparently Freebord’s appeal knows no bounds.
Help us get more funny calls like these by spreading the word about our campaign – paste these banners into your myspace, facebook, forum sig, or wherever else you have an online presence. Let’s see how much we can blow up Bob’s phone!

Ask a Rider
Thursday, June 11th, 2009Even though the economy sucks, Freebord is still working on getting the word out there with some online advertising. But this time around we’re letting our riders speak for us. Cuz we think sometimes you guys can say it best.
Announcing the Ask A Rider campaign. We’re running banners on a bunch of websites including Vice Magazine, VBS.tv, Jackassworld, AlliSports and more, giving people a real number to call a rider and talk to them about Freebord. There’s nothing like hearing it straight from the source.
For our first run we chose Team member and Rider of the Year 08 Bob Glashan and equipped him with a dedicated cell phone just to answer calls from whoever decides to see if it’s a real person on the other end. Why? Bob’s a ripping rider, he’s been around the company for a while, and well, his name looks hella funny on a banner. So ask us whatever you want – Bob is standing by.
